Wooohooo... What a session. perfect sunny skies, a steady 25 knot SW wind and some monster waves out the back.

I went out on my small wave board with a 5m sail and was prefectly powered up the whole time. although the waves were big I managed to get out the back on every run, and had a pretty exciting time doing so. I didn't go for any massive jumps, but certainly didn't stay on the water either. Coming back in was just as good, riding the logo high swells and getting some good backside wave rides in.

Not much else to say really as it was just perfect.

It all came to an abrupt ende after a couple of hours though. i did a big jump off one of the monstwer waves out the back and landed on the face of the next monster!! Me and my board were completely submerged and stalled from the landing and when I re-surfaced I realised I was pretty much upside down still stood on my board as it was getting pitched backwards over the wave as it was breaking.... Bugger!!

I got washed around a few times with my backfoot well and truly stick in the strap. Unfortunately it was the same foot as I hurt a few weeks ago and once again I'm hobbling around with a swollen and very sore foot. It hurt immediately so I just waterstarted and had a painful run back to the beach.

Still, an excellent session and the injury didn't ruin it at all.
